Hello fellas.
I've been on a working holiday visa for the past 5 months and forgot to register for the national health insurance due to my country's japanese embassy website saying it was recommended, not compulsory.
I've recently been hired by a company full time and will be changing to a new full working visa (so basically creating a new one from scratch in my home country). The procedure is already underway, and I was wondering if there's any chance this delay in registering with the national health insurance can affect the process for the new visa in any way, or if I should start the steps to get my insurance right now (in less than a month I'll be getting the company's insurance). Has anyone gone through something similar?
The company I've been hired by is category 1 so they've been able to wave off most of the paperwork for the COE, and since it's gonna be a whole new visa (not change of status), this working holiday period will count as a previous stay, but I'm kinda scared about this coming up in the evaluation.
