Why Live in Rural Japan? Honestly, Don’t.

I was reading a post about foreigners living in rural Japan, and honestly… why? There’s literally no point. City life and inaka life are worlds apart—not just the scenery, but people’s whole mindset. Even Japanese city folks would laugh in your face if you told them to live out in the countryside. Japan is already kinda closed-off as a society, but out in the inaka? It’s like “hard mode.” You could live there ten years and still just be “that outsider.” At the very least, I’d recommend living in a major city with over a million people.
