Kyoto dialect (maido)

So I try to always say maido/ookini, which I realise is an old-ish terms and mostly (from what I read) used by the owners towards the customer, not the other way round (my case), but I'm kinda bummed everyone just says the standard arigatou when you have this nice local version. What do you think? Do you ever say maido/ookini?
