Looking for a piano to practice on in Osaka

Hello, I’m the pianist for the US Pavilion at the Expo in Osaka through mid-October. I trained at Juilliard and perform classical music internationally.

I’m looking for a reliable piano to practice on a few times per week — I can pay a reasonable fee or offer short recitals in exchange.

If you know of a restaurant, hotel, club, private home, or other place with a piano that might be open to this arrangement, I’d be very grateful for advice or an introduction.

More about me at theodorechaffman.com and usapavilion.us/news-events/.

Thanks very much for any leads!

  1. I don’t know for sure, but you could look into international schools in the area, or even Japanese schools if you feel confident contacting them. They may be willing to let you practice in exchange for a recital/demonstration for students. Or a community center
