Changing from Working Holiday to Spouse Visa in Japan : job contract timing worries

Hi all,

I’m currently in Japan on a Working Holiday visa and got married to a Japanese citizen a few months ago (more than 6 years of relationship).

I’ve applied to change my status to a Spouse visa. Immigration accepted my application and told me it should take about a month for the result.

Here’s the situation: I already have a job offer (regular full-time contract) that officially starts just a few days after I submitted my Spouse visa application. If the work contract start date is before the Spouse visa is approved, could that create problems (either now or at renewal/permanent residency)?

Any experiences or advice would really help me understand how strict Immigration is in practice. Thanks!
