You see I’ve been living here for about 3 Months in and I’m starting to think I’ve made a mistake. It’s just I had a good life back home I.e. Large Apartment, 6 Figure Job…I’m currently here on a Working Holiday Visa but thinking of extending my stay.
Whilst I was fully aware that I have to sacrifice salary and that you come to Japan for the experience and not salary. I love the social life and dating is super easy for me. I’ve made a lot of friends and met a bunch of nice women.
That was the reason I left Germany in the first place, because the social and dating life is just Soviet Era. But nowadays with all this over tourism it feels like I’m not in Japan. I usually go outside the Metropolitan areas just to get away from all these tourists.
But I don’t know, Japan doesn’t feel like it used to back when i visited in 2016. So hence the topic, Developers: Do you like your life as a Dev in Japan? What’s making you want to stay?
