I've successfully gone through renewing my residence card by online application, and it has been the most stressful experience .
- I applied on the 2025/07/27 with my residency card expiring on August 28. I called the 東京EN and asked for the progress, they told me itll take 2 months to get my new residency card.
2.August 29th they emailed me saying my 審査完了に関するお知らせ and request me to send them my old residency card so they can mail the new one back. so I have no residency card.
3.. Sudden family emergency so I had to leave by September 5th. Called the odaiba office and they told me the residence card has been renewed but my card was not even ready yet but I have mailed them my old residency card. They TOLDDD meee 9月20日 it will be finished HATSUKA and they said that the immigration bureau is so busy so they think it might take weeks.

Called every help desk and they told me to either call haneda or get the re-entry permit stamp. I went to Tachikawa's immigration bureau and they looked so confused with the whole process because the odaiba office is not in sync with them. Had to pay 4000 yen for re-entry stamp.

On the date of my flight, the immigration desk was confused why I dont have my residency card so i have to explain everything luckily had my email documents . They instruct me to go to another office to get a 1 year permit because my residency was already renewed in the system LOL. But i don't see this evidence in my passport ? only the re-entry stamp.

Only have the re-entry permit stating until Oct 28 in my passport right now and I am worried they won't let me in Japan because I had no residency card and only one-way flight ticket… but they stapled the re-entry boarding card to my passport..Is it fine do you think?
