Visited the night session of the World Athletics Championships last night at Japan National Stadium and it felt like a well-oiled machine. It was absolutely packed, but everything went off without a hitch. Entry was really smooth, no one stood up in front of me or was overly boisterous apart from when a Japanese athlete ran past. The in-stadium commentary was mostly English. Even when everyone filtered out at the end there wasn’t really any pushing. We had a nice 10-minute stroll and grabbed a taxi home. Seemed quite the contrast to the stories from the Osaka Expo.
Still chipping away at studying for Kanken pre 2. I now have a month before the test. My feelings about passing haven’t changed. My last mock test wasn’t a good score. But I’m just trying to put as many sample questions I don’t know into Anki. I put in 1,484 so far. Every question I study I feel chips away at my lack of understanding and gets me just a bit closer to passing.
Praise be! The three-week-old complaint thread is finally gone!
* It’s chilly today. Woke up to 19c outside. Niiiiice. Hope it stays this way for a while, had enough of 30c+ weather.
* The new Xperia 10 VII looks good (bonus points for that miku color) and I will be getting it most likely.
* Began tracking my expenditures starting this month and boy do I underestimate some stuff. Thought my transportation expenses are between 6,000 to 8,000 yen on average but my records say I’ve already spent 11,000 in September… and we’re only two thirds of the way! Now I know which expenses to cut.
* Today, exactly six years ago, I landed in Japan. Can I call it Japanniversary? Here’s to four more years for that PR!
I LOVE THIS WEATHER THE TEMPERATURE IS SO MILD I COULD CRY FROM HAPPINESS
also i took Monday off so I have an extra long weekend to go to Osaka with my girls yayyyy
upcoming 4days off. cold winds are here in hokkaido, temps going down to lower 10°C. summer is over, winter is almost here.
although I got so many things to get done in the weekend, I’m gonna enjoy 4 days to the full. it’s been a rough 3 weeks at work with 6day work weeks🥴.

around 2kg of potatoes, 3 large stalks of celery, the biggest daikon ive ever seen, a handful of sweet potatoes and around 25 tomatoes just got delivered to our door from a neighbor, and we dont even live in inaka. she makes sure to deliver something similar every september from her families farm, the same way we make sure to give her a large box of mikans from our mikan tree every December. I love my neighbors.
A lady waved good bye at me while my train was leaving the platform. That was nice of her and I appreciated the gesture.
I got bored and counted up my spare change jar… ¥151,350 being put towards a new laptop budget!!
I’m not sweating!
We tidied the living room last night and I could see the floor.
I haven’t felt like shit since I stopped drinking milk. I’m sad cos I love milk, but I feel great.
So crazy it’s 24c, and it feels cool. Japan has changed me, 24c is a bit warm in my hometown lol.
Was eating some ramen in my local Hirai and “down on bended knee” by Boyz II Men came on. Absolutely wonderful experience. Nostalgia & delicious ramen? 10/10
Great weather today!
It’s amazing how much more energetic I feel when its not a million degrees outside.
for all the complaints I have about my job these days, I can stay home and most days they forget to give me something to do, so I get a lot of hobby done during work hours. My painting projects have really gone faster for the last 3 weeks.
