EDIT: the company is not going bankrupt. This was more of a “redundancy” restructuring I guess?
So without getting into too much detail.
I work in a subsidiary company, and the parent company decided to close and liquidate the company. Essentially "as of next week, everyone is being let go"
The severance package offered was just the legal minimum of 1 month's pay.
None of the employees signed the termination agreement, so they responded with a "we will keep the office open 1 more month, just work like usual, and we'll give you an update once the board members have talked"
So…. did I just get unfired? Can they just do that?
