I'm currently an ALT (int company) and I finally found a job that fits my college degree and past job experiences. They can offer a Humanities visa for me but I'll have to process it myself.

As we all know ALTs have a contract to the school until March but I plan to leave once the semester ends on Nov. I feel bad for leaving the school cus they are all nice but I'm not paid enough compared to the work loads I'm having. We are almost always busy everyday and we only get 20mins lunch break at most cus of how busy we are. We have morning greetings, lunch cafe and english club (sometimes homeroom) with the kids everyday aside from the 4-5 classes everyday. Now my question is, has any of you experienced leaving the school before your contract ends? What will be the cons?

I'm planning to process my visa 1st week of October. The process of change will take 1-3 months and I have a ticket flight going to my country on October 28-November 9. Am I allowed to leave Japan while my visa is on process?
