Need some feedback on Osaka/Tokyo itinerary with stop in the Japanese Alps

Day 1: Osaka

– Arrive in Osaka in the afternoon

– Check into hotel

– Visit Osaka Castle

Day 2: Osaka

– Spend entire day at Expo 2025 Osaka

Day 3: Nara

– Take an early train from Osaka to Nara

– Visit Nara Park

– Visit Todai-ji Temple

– Return to Osaka in time for dinner

Day 4: Nakabusa Onsen/Mt. Tsubakuro

– Get up early and take the train from Shin Osaka to arrive in Hokata via Nagoya (Shinkansen), Matsumoto (JR)

– Get the last bus from Hokata to Nakabusa Onsen

– Start hike towards Mt. Tsubakuro (?) – Question: Is it required to book a spot at a lodge or is it possible to do an overnight hike?

Day 5: Tokyo – Shinjuku

– Reach summit of Mt. Tsubakuro in time for sunrise

– Descend and take the bus from Nakabusa Onsen bacl to Hokata

– Take JR from Hokata to Matsumoto and then get LImited Express from Matsumoto to Shinjuku

– Check into Hotel in Shinjuku and have dinner

Day 6: Tokyo

– Visit Imperial Palace

– Visit Sensoji Temple

Day 7: Tokyo

– Visit Tsukiji Market in the morning for brunch

– Go do some shopping in the afternoon in Shibuya

– Tokyo Skytree

Day 8: Tokyo

– Ginza shopping

– Depart Japan in the evening

Let me know what you think of this itinerary. If the hike seems a bit out of the way, is there a similar but challenging short hike that I could do?
