“Not leaving it at the door, but throwing it” – a malicious delivery man who threw packages and kicked it against a wall… Another day, he yelled abuse at a heavy-looking package and kicked it (Kawaguchi City, Saitama)

In Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture, a delivery worker was caught on security cameras throwing and kicking a customer’s package in a shocking display of misconduct. This unsettling behavior had been noted before with previous incidents.

The concept of “置き配” (placement delivery) aims to place packages at designated spots to save time and enhance convenience but was distorted in this case to what might be called a “投げ配” (throw delivery).

On the 7th of the month, the delivery person was seen on camera shaking a package while ascending a staircase. Upon reaching the intended recipient’s door, the worker suddenly threw the package. Then, astonishingly, they kicked it, shoving the package against the wall, appearing to change its shape.

Residents discovered the misconduct through their smartphones, which alert them when a package arrives. One resident reported receiving a notification, but found the package in disarray, albeit not damaged internally, and described the behavior as unacceptable.

Similar reckless handling was recorded previously on July 24. A delivery person cradled a heavy package, then rudely dropped it onto the ground and kicked it towards the wall, uttering vulgarities at the parcel before leaving.

Residents expressed disappointment, asking for better judgment from those paid to deliver goods respectfully.
