Hi everyone! Thanks for always being so kind and helpful.
I have a question in regards of my job switching and visa.
Last April my contract didn't get renewed, and I registered to Hello Work after that. I've been looking for a new job as per the rules of Hello Work and have found something new in the past months. My last day of work at the old company was April 30, and my first day at the new company is September 15th, making it a gap of about 4.5 months.
I need to let immigration know about my job switch, and I've filled out the document (I think its called 参考様式1の7(複数届出:「契約終了」と「新たな契約締結」)). I'll drop it off at the immigration office before the weekend. However, the question I have is more about the period of notification; It states you need to let immigration know within 14 days if you've lost your job, which I now realize I didn't.
If anyone has experienced this already (including finding a new job and starting there), please let me know if there is anything extra I have to do. I find it hard to find any information online about this specific problem, and would be grateful for anyone who could guide me.

For clarification:
I’m curious if the document (Contracting organization: termination ・ new conclusion) is enough, even though I didn’t notify them in time of termination, and if not, do I need an apology letter or some extra document where I state what happened? Sorry for asking, but it’s kinda stressing me out since I read somewhere that the Immigration service could revoke my visa and I have a baby on the way : |
There is a form for when an old job ends, a new one begins, and a two-in-one. You might want to submit anyway even if it’s late, as that is still better than Immigration realizing and coming after you about it later on
Hai OP , don’t worry, since you submit 2in1 , immigration have both Keisha’s registration numbers, possible consequences are immigration may reduce you period of stay, but prayers that’s not gonna happens, as someone said luckily this process don’t have aknowledgement to proof from your side, submit your application, and wait for the Post card, nowadays immigration is contacting through calls also, good luck 🤞
It’s likely that at your next renewal you get a 1 year visa. That’s the only real consequence.
