No wonder driver license centers are delaying processing of converting foreign driver’s licenses. They’ve known for some time, except they didn’t have cases they could publicize and prosecute.
Yet they are limiting ways of these foreign visitors getting a driver license legitimately. The demand is there. People will try to get want they want no matter what. The xenophobic attitude of Japanese government will only make the matter worse.
Turns out Chinese drivers can’t sign up for IDP and has to convert their license to Japanese ones. Sucks for them.
