Never, because Boise (and surrounding area) is one of the most boring and option-less cities in the entire world.
There’s nothing like that here, except the all you can eat Chinese buffets and their sushi is honestly garbage.
Three times in the last month. Trying to increase my ROI. I got down 60 pieces last time, but I forgot to ask for half rice on my nigiri and they load it the helllll up with rice so I was struggling
I watch Monday Night Football‘s 1st half & go home.
Sushi, sake & MNF!
Doesn’t exist where i’m from.
I haven’t been in decades. There was a place in my college town that did some sort of all-you-can-eat thing like once a month or maybe once a week and a bunch of us would go.
Would always end up with some, “Who the fuck ordered *this* roll?” situation that nobody would own up to and we’d all have to force it down. 😅
Never. I don’t like the quality
I haven’t been in years. The quality at the place I used to go to went down hill. Still looking for a replacement.
I haven’t gone for all you can eat sushi even in Japan in over a decade of living here. They exist, but they are fairly rare. Mainly supermarket/fish-monger, then conveyor belt, then proper restaurant. Sometimes we order delivery, but only at the in-laws.
Back in Canada, there was a period of time when I went weekly.
What is that white filled roll? “*Oops! All-Mayo*” maki?
Never
Never
Never
Is that….. a cream cheese roll?
One a month to once very couple months. Vegas has so many good spots
i feel like im the only person that HATES cream cheese and sushi
Never.
May I ask where in the EU you are experiencing this?
Haven’t found a good all you can eat when it comes to quality.
Once a week or once a year 😆
What is that sushi roll only with the white thing inside? Cream cheese only sushi roll?
Only when I’m in Tokyo. There is this nice place that has it for about ¥7000 in Ginza. When i lived in Japan, maybe once every other month. But now it’s only when i visit.
Exclusively, don’t really eat sushi anywhere else cuz I’m boring and just wanna eat 40 salmon maki and 40 tuna maki. And I’m that heathen that loves the appetizer lineup of fried goodies (gyoza, crab rangoon, shimp tempura) and then dunks all that maki in a shoyu-“wasabi” slurry.
I’m garbage, what can I say?
When I was a teenager but after college I took my first job on Kauai and learned that sushi is about quality and not quantity.
Not often enough
If I had the money I’d be going everyday
I prefer high quality over quantity. However I would definitely go if invited with coworkers.
We have a spot here that has AYCE semi mediocre but passable sushi, hot and cold apps/tempura, and *incredible* hotpot with a fancy sauce bar for like $25pp for lunch and $31pp for dinner.
I go there to eat like a pound of lamb slice and too many blue crabs with random veggie/tofu accompaniments for soup and like one tempura shrimp, a couple tako sashimi like 3 gyoza and maybe a eel avocado roll but I dont carb for AYCE if i can help it.
Maybe once or twice a year? Would go more often if I had more self control to not eat my entire daily calorie allotment in one sitting
I’ve been once in my life. I can’t eat enough in one sitting for it to be worth it.
I always love to go. But getting overweight now. ☹️
Once a month. I wish I went more tbh
I go maybe 1-4 times a year nowadays as a group outing meal. Used to go more often before, but now I have an asian grocery store near I work and after I clock out that sushi is usually half off so I have less of a craving to do AYCE
Maybe on a special occasion, like a birthday or other celebration. A couple times a year. But my spouse is now on a weight loss drug, which basically eliminates his appetite to the point of eating about 5-6 bites of food before being too full to eat more. One small roll is all he can eat, max. So AYCE is a huge waste of money for us at this point.
Would I go separately? Yes. I wish I could afford to do it monthly on an ideal world.
For mental health, once a week
Now, I’m in Utah, ayce out here is mids. Not worth the price tag IMO, when I lived in CA AZ TX and IN, once weekly or so, if not more.
Never
Is that a cream cheese roll?? Wtf
At least once a month. Eat more throughout the month but just not ayce
Once or twice per month.
I have gone to all you can eat places and find out that they serve what they call “sushi”. I have not gone to an all you can eat sushi place.
I went 2 days ago. Ate until i couldnt, and it felt bad at first, but so nice thru the day.
I had to pay like $28 usd cuz american economy is so unbelievably bad for the not rich peeps
All the time in SD, we have a place called Little Sakana which is pretty damn good for a AYCE. Also ayce is the most affordable way if your primary sushi is nigiri’s. My wife and I usually down 60pc with a few rolls and some apps.
My local place is $19 for AYCE lunch and it’s top tier at least once a week. I support them whenever I can because I know if there’s enough big backs, they can get crushed, it’s a delicate balance and I haven’t found one this good since COVID.
With that quality I’d make my own at home. Buuuuuut I do eat all I can.
I’ve stuck in the shadow realm with nothing but grocery store sushi for a few years. Store I go to at least has somebody making sushi there, in person, so it’s above average for what it is.
I used to go once every few months with friends when I was at university. Now I just order frozen sashimi grade fish delivered to my home and make my own temaki rolls. I live in the UK so the variety will be the same as restaurants, but better quality and value for money. (We don’t get that much in the way of variety here.)
