Moving to Japan in April (MEXT)

I know the results aren't quite out yet, but I managed to secure 2 LoPAs (Yokohama university and Osaka university) and I've read that it is pretty rare for someone to be rejected after getting this far, so I decided to already do some research on housing at these two locations to have an idea on how much I'll have to spend on rent. Didn't find much info on the Dormirories (if you know something please let me know) so I was looking for a cheap apartment for now. I'll go alone at first but with the goal of bringing my wife along a few months in (she'll try to find work once she acquires the Dependent visa).

Any advice is welcomed as I know next to zero about how to proceed from here 😅
