For anyone who entered internationally, how long did the immigration queue take when you arrived in Okinawa? Was wondering if it's worth me paying a bit extra to get front row seats on my plane.
EDIT: I only ask because when I previously landed in Tokyo took me 2hours to go through immigration (long queue & slow process), was wondering if Okinawa is similar.

It was very quick when I went in July
Not worth paying extra. The only time you would need to rush is if a whole tour group is ahead of you.
it’s a couple of years back because I normally get to Okinawa through Tokyo, but back in 2023 I came via Hong Kong and had to go through immigration in naha. It was super quick, with a fully loaded plane and I was nowhere near the front.
Would you consider getting global entry instead of paying for first class?
Edit: I am wrong on this one guys.
Like most places, somewhere between a few minutes and hours. There are a ton of factors, different every day, which mean other people’s experiences have questionable application to yours.
It’s only an advantage over the people on your flight, so you decide if that’s worth it to you, but it won’t jump you past people on other planes who may or may not be in line already when you get there.
How suspicious do you look?
Depends what time of day, how many other flights there are, whether you’ve got everything ready, your nationality, your status in Japan (which line you use), etc.
I just landed here for my holiday yesterday, immigration queue took us about 20 mins to get through (we arrived 5:30pm)
You could pre-register the visitjapan stuff, but that won’t really save much (if any) time – but might be handy during your trip
Where are you flying in from?
depends on if you get unlucky with a plane full of Chinese people or something before you land. normally like 30 minutes or less
