My situation as a student with jobs.

My situation: I’m currently studying for my English-taught bachelor’s degree. My Japanese is very basic (almost none for now), but I’m a fast learner. I’m fluent in English and a native Arabic speaker.

I also have about one year’s worth of savings(hopefully!), so I’m dedicating myself to studying Japanese intensively. My goal is to reach the best level possible within a year.

Question: Has anyone in a similar situation recently managed to find a part-time job under the 28-hours/week student visa rule?

I’ve read through older posts, but most of them are from a few years ago. I’d like to know how things are right now.

is it more difficult these days for people with little Japanese ability to get part-time work? I’ve noticed many foreigners working in convenience stores like 7-11, speaking good Japanese, so I'm confused on how high the bar is..
