Hi everyone, so apparently my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F global ver SIM-unlocked) is not compatible with my current data+voice SIM Card (M****, use Softbank's network. Ref on their site: "Unfortunately, we have also found that some VoLTE capable handsets are just not compatible with the VoLTE service provided by the Softbank network. This compatibility issue is out of our control but to provide further assistance, we have created a list of handsets below that (based off our own research and customer feedback) we believe to be incompatible.").
I can use my internet, but i can't make/receive calls, or even open my voicemail. I still got 留守番 messages with information about the callers phone number and if they leave any message (but i can't access the voicemail). My phone doesn't support e-sim. I'm also not planning to buy new phone soon since this one still works well.
I'm staying for 1-year as japanese language student. If anyone have similar issue/information on what SIM card that could work for Note 9, please kindly let me know. I tried searching other SIM Card options but couldnt find a carrier that officially state they support Note 9 (its an old phone, so i can understand it).
Plus, my current data plan is ¥3,630/ Month for 10GB which is quite expensive compare to others such as LINEMO or Ahamo, that's also a reason i want to switch to other carrier.
Thank You!
