how do i get a job when i barely speak japanese

I've been in Japan for about a month for school, and Id like to get a part time job and everything, but its both easy and so hard. Im not sure what to look for, since my Japanese is practically nonexistent at this time. Im only at the level of the first three chapters on the Genki textbook lol.

I've applied to a few places, and have actually gotten some calls, but since I dont understand them, and they dont understand me, its just a lot of broken Japanese and awkward laughs.

I wonder if anybody has any suggestions? If I was in Tokyo it might be a bit easier, but Im in Yamanashi so things are pretty limited in terms on English interviews.

edit: i take japanese classes 3x a week at school, so its not like im avoiding learning anything. i know plenty of students around my language level with part time jobs. and im not trying to throw a fit about anything lmao i'm just asking a simple question. yall are so mean and for what xD
