What’s it actually like to live in Japan?

I've been curious about visiting Japan in the future of my life.

I know that most of the Japanese population lives in cities.

I'd like to tour around in Japan.

A city called Sapporo is a place I've been interested in seeing in person.

I'm just unsure how people live there and how foreigners interact with the citizens there.

What's daily life like for Japanese people and well foreigners visiting?

I'm studying Hiragana right now.
