Studying in Japan

I want to get a bachelors in marine biology and I'm thinking of studying in Japan, i have a few questions about it though:

1. How easy/hard is it to live there? (I'm Indian and i haven't travelled to any other Asian countries other than the gulf ones)

2. How are the job prospects with a degree in marine biology from Japan internationally? (I've heard that the work culture is quite bad there so i want to get a degree there and work abroad)

3. How accepting are they of foreign students?

4. Do I need to show a level of proficiency in Japanese to study there even if the course is in English? (I'm aware i need to know Japanese to live there comfortably but do i need to know it well enough to use it in an academic setting?)

I'm thinking of applying to Tohoku university and Tokyo university for Marine science and Technology, what other universities would be good for marine biology?
