Bears?

I have booked a stay for 2 nights on mitakesan at one of the lodgings for early November and also a day trip to Mount takao.

Is it quiet on mitakesan on weekdays? I am a solo female traveler so I am worried about meeting a bear. I read that there were recent sightings and one attack at okutama and surrounds. It also looks like that it is quite a long walk to the lodging and the shrine from the cable car.

I can still cancel my stay on mitakesan for free. Its just a hassle to find alternative accomodation ar this point. I am not worried about Mount takao as I can do a day trip on a weekend when its crowded.
