Hi everyone! My husband and I have a one year old son and we were looking to move and buy property in Japan but would love some suggestions. For context, we are in our 20s and we want to have our future children in Japan. We would like to move to a place that is open to a growing family. We were looking at Sendai, since it meets most of our criteria, but we would like your opinion on other places we should consider. My husband is a veteran so we plan on making trips to the base hospitals at least once a year for him. We’re looking for a place that is:
-within $300k for a home
-nearby preschools and elementary schools
-near a Costco (yeah yeah I know but Costco is our disneyland XD)
-not in a congested city
-it does not have to be near a US base
-climate doesn’t matter our family can adapt
-groceries, schools, etc. need to be within a 30 minute drive
We want to respect the region’s cultures and customs and in no way are we trying to westernize the area we intend to live, besides having our own novelties in our home. We really just want to contribute our family to Japan and live a peaceful life. That being said, we are open to anything that you all may suggest for us!
