Renai Hachioji and Branz Tower Hashimoto are two condos currently under construction whose top floors exceed 200M yen and have areas larger than 100m^2.
For Renai Hachioji, it appears that the best unit (32F 120m^2 southwest corner) has already been sold at an undisclosed price, and the second best unit is going for 230 million yen.
Not even Tachikawa has condos prices anywhere close to this
There is also another tower condo coming up in Hachioji behind the don quixote at the center of downtown which will probably also commandeer similar prices.
I always jokingly thought Hachioji had an image of being a cheap trashy place and while the linear motor car shinkansen station in Hashimoto was expected to bring value to the area, I'd never imagine there would be anything like this being built in this area.
For the record, I can't come close to buying anything like this. I will probably just see rent prices increase.
