Oh My… got into Ikebukuro station and checked into my hotel. Was looking for something good.. found something amazing. Had to go into a building down a more local style road and take the small elevator to the penthouse level. The door was discreet. Got the penthouse experience. Things I normally wouldn’t enjoy became suddenly delicious under the master chef Watanabe’s blade. The Omakase sake and whiskey menu was extensive with the sushi pairing. When I asked for extra wasabi in true Gaijin fashion and he pulled out the literal root and ground it on a shark tooth grater I knew I had taken it to the next level. I wont ruin the surprise but I had to order a few extra crab and wasabi otaro rolls. Top level.
