I just returned from the Koto driving license center after letting my old license expire as I was away from the country for couple of years. Therefore, I had to do the conversion process again from scratch.
For those interested, the new mandatory driving and written tests requirements do NOT apply to reciprocal conversions. The only requirement is the good old JAF translation, which you’ll need. Although getting a timeslot was a bit annoying, the entire process was done in around two hours.
