I`ve asked my property management company to give me a new key for my apartment, since i`ve lost one of them, and they told me that they cannot do that, and i need to pay the whole fee for lock and key replacement if i cannot give them back the original two keys, now or when moving out.
This would cost 10x more than what any other place that does 合鍵 charges. However, i was told everwhere that my key cannot be replicated without the security card, which my property management company will not give me. So i cannot get another key on my own.
Also, since they charge for key change as a moving fee, this doesn`t make any sense.
Do i have any options other than paying the predatory fees?
