So Yesterday I visited my long time friend who just had a little baby girl to give them some baby welcoming gift. I parked my car on the road as they don’t have another parking spot. There were few other cars parked as well. I left my car unlocked because I was just gonna had over the gift and leave. Fast forward few minutes I go over over to my friends apartment who lives in 2nd Floor and suddenly I hear horn honking so i immediately rush downstairs and this older guy probably in his 60’s opens my car door and honking yells at me “move your car my wife can’t move her car” which is understandable as I may have been blocking her way. I apologized and left. After that I reach my home and noticed huge scratch on my Steering wheel where the horn is, which wasn’t there earlier. So this idiot used some kind of metal to crank my horn and left a noticeable scratch.
I know I should’ve parked in a proper parking spot but I wasn’t meant to be there long anyway so I thought I could park there for few minutes. What do you guys think. Is it ok for someone to open another person’s car door and honk. Also this older guy knew that I was foreigner so that maybe annoyed him as well. I’m getting that part repaired tomorrow as I have serious OCD regarding my car as I have to stare to that scratch everyday. What do you guys think? What would you do in this case?
