I've been going to a chain gym (starts with a F and ends with a 24) for a few months now. The gym and equipment itself are fine, but boy, is it hot in there. At first I thought it was hot because it was the summer, but even now that outside temperatures have cooled down it's still hot inside. There are clocks inside with built-in thermometers and it's usually at 21-23 degrees Celsius. For reference, my previous gym was 19 degrees Celsius. I train hard and keep my rest periods short, so I sweat a bit.
Anyway, earlier today I left a 4-star review stating that it was hot and deducted a star because of it. Others have also said that it was hot in their reviews, both foreigners and Japanese. Then today as I was leaving the gym, a staff member asked me about the review I left. I'm still not sure how he knew it was me that left that review since I only have initials on my account (although my review was in English). So here's the part that got me: "He asked me if I would be able to delete my review RIGHT NOW if he turned down the air conditioner." I just want to reiterate that this was a 4-star review. I felt like he tried to pressure me into doing it, but I was reluctant to give in to the pressure. So I told him I'll delete the review after a week to see if the gym did get cooler or not.
Just thought I’d share an interesting experience I had today. Has anyone else ever been pressured to remove a review?
