SoftBank guy came today to “set up” my wifi, connected the modem to the socket and was about to leave, then I showed him the router that SoftBank had asked me to buy before the 工事 day. After connecting the router to the modem an orange light blinked near “Internet” option on the router and he said that internet should be working and said to follow the steps on how to connect my phone to wifi.
The problem? Wifi is not working even after I followed the steps in the TP link manual. It says that I first need to log in using the ISP details from my internet provider, but where do I find it? I did not receive it from SoftBank or Kojima (I bought the router here). I’m kinda lost now with what to do. If I disconnect the modem from the wall socket, the orange light from the router turns blank and re appears when I connect it back. I can’t figure out where the problem is, the TP link router or the NTT modem that the SoftBank guy fixed today.
Edit – I reset the router and tried again, didn't work. I'm getting stuck at "Enter the information provided by your Internet service provider (ISP). If you are unsure, contact your ISP." I will call SoftBank tomorrow.
