Just lost my wallet today

This happened today.
We were at Workman planning to buy shoes, and when it was time to pay, I realized my wallet was missing. I told my parents right away, and we drove back to the restaurant and only 20 minutes passed at that time when we got back to the restaurant. When my mom and I arrived at the entrance, we saw one of the staff sitting outside. As soon as he saw us, he came over. When we asked if anyone had found a wallet, he just said, “nai” (meaning “none” or “no”), which confused me. I thought he would at least ask where I thought I left it or check inside, but he didn’t — he just immediately said there wasn’t any wallet. I’m not sure if that’s a normal thing here if you lost something at a restaurant or not.

We’ve already reported it to the police, and two officers went to the restaurant to talk to the same staff member. The staff told the police that there’s a camera there, but it doesn’t cover the area where we were sitting.

Is my wallet just gone now or theres still a chance i had my ids there and my number card there and it had more than 30,000¥
