I’m setting up a small Japanese-style mini arcade in Texas, and I really want to capture that authentic Tokyo arcade vibe — the kind you’d find in Akihabara or Shibuya.
I’ve seen tons of photos online, but I’d love to hear from people who’ve actually been there (or live there):
• What kind of colors, lights, or signage make a Tokyo arcade instantly recognizable?
• Are there any specific design details or decorations that give it that unmistakable Japanese feel?
• How do they usually use space, sound, or lighting inside?
I’m not trying to imitate the culture in a disrespectful way — I just genuinely love Japanese arcade design and want to recreate that atmosphere as accurately and respectfully as possible.
