How do you properly clean and maintain parquet/wood floors in Japan?

Hi everyone,

I just moved into a new apartment with what seems to be parquet (or laminate) flooring, and I realized I have no idea how to clean it properly here in Japan.

A couple of times I spilled a few drops of tea and wiped them with those wet cleaning sheets from Daiso, and I noticed the floor in that spot became slightly “rough” and lost that smooth, shiny finish. It doesn’t feel as nice as before…

Now I’m worried I might damage the floor if I keep using the wrong products or methods.

How are you supposed to clean and maintain wood/parquet floors in Japan without harming them? Are there specific products I should be using (or avoiding)? Any advice from people living in Tokyo/Japan with similar flooring would be super helpful.

Thanks!
