Is mercari good for high price items?

I have a laptop I want to sell that is something in the area of 40万 and am not sure where is best to sell it.
Ive only sold a couple of things on mercari and it went fine, but they were low cost items and Ive heard lots of stories of people getting scammed.

Is mercari the best bet for this?

I have tried computer shops but the lowballing is unreal; one place said 4万 is the best they can do.
