Me and my family (my mother, my husband, and my brother) are going to Japan on May 2026.
This is my second time to japan (I've been to Osaka Kyoto and Nara) and it will be the first Japan trip for the rest of the group.
Here's the itinerary
May 9: Arrive at Itami Osaka 1pm – drop Luggage at hotel near daikokucho station (or check in if we can) – eat late lunch in Namba area – checkin hotel if we havent done it yet – go to Orange Street – Amerikamura – Dotonbori
May 10: Go to Kyoto – Fushimi Inari Shrine – Ninenzaka – Kodaiji Temple – Potoncho Park – Back to Osaka – Tsutenkaku
May 11: Check out – Nara – Nara Park – Todaiji Temple – Umeda Sky Building – Bus to Nagoya – Check in at hotel near Nagoya Station
May 12: Breakfast near hotel – Toyoto Auto Museum Nagakute – Osu Shopping Street
May 13: Check out hotel – Noritake Garden – Nagoya Castle – Sakae – Onsen/Sento if time permits – Back to Nagoya station – Overnight bus to Tokyo
May 14: Tokyo arrival
May 14-16
One day will be allocated to Fuji Kawaguchiko Day trip according to weather, and at night we'll explore Shinjuku area
The rest 2 days will be:
1. Asakusa – Ginza/Odaiba – Akihabara
2. Shinjuku – Shibuya- Ikebukuro
May 17: Departure from Narita Airport
- Is the itinerary doable?
- For Luggage we want to just use coin locker or leave our luggage in hotel lobby if we can
- What area should we stay in Tokyo? I'm thinking Otsuka, Nippori, or Ueno but still not sure
- Is the days in Nagoya too long? But i heard the food scene there is soo good, i feel if we only had one day in Nagoya it'd be so packed.
Note: the dates are fixed since we already booked our flight, and we're all working in different sectors, one of us can only have 12 annual leave for a year.
Me and my husband are learning to speak some japanese for our trip there.
English is not my first language so pardon me for grammatical mistakes in this post.
Any suggestions or feedback will be appreciated ☺️
