I'm planning a trip to Kyoto for the famous red leaves (Koyo), but the warmer weather this year is making the peak prediction tough! It sounds like the peak will be delayed from the usual late November timing.
Kyoto residents:
Based on your experience living there for multiple autumns, when do you predict the gorgeous red leaves will hit their peak this year?
I'm hoping to catch them around December 15th, 2025. Is that too late, or do you think the color will still be vibrant red then? Also, how many days does the bright red peak generally last before things turn brown?
