Alright, so I used to live in the outskirts of Nerima back when I was in university. Back then a 1R apartment or 1K apartment rooms were no less than 70k yen.
Fast forward to 2025, I’m looking for a new place to live after switching jobs and since Nerima is the most accessible neighbourhood, naturally I decided to check out what kind of real estate they’ve got to offer. Well surprise surprise, all the agents have told me the average rent in the Nerima has skyrocketed about 1.5k yen in the past couple of years and is no longer within the 80k yen range to afford a decent room.
I meant tbf Nerima has access to both shinjuku and Ike but damn, I didn’t think it would happen this fast.
