I got accepted to move abroad and study in Japan for the next two years. (NAIST)
Im starting in april but want to come early march and visit Tokyo and some other areas before I start. As it would also be my first time visiting japan.
Except in the email I got I was informed that information surrounding the enrollment procedure would be send around early February. Additionally on the website it is said that they will apply for a certificate of eligibility on my behalf (which would take a month) and after I have to apply for a student visa in my homecountry.
This sounds like I cant apply for a visa until early march, but that also seems like not enough time for an april start. Especially for an international student from europe. As I would imagine that most in European students aren’t moving one week in advance.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Will they apply for the CoE before the application? Will I have to apply sooner than early februari. Or is my assumption correct and if so can I also apply for a student visa in Japan? Or could I ask them to apply sooner?
