Tldr: will my sister be okay living and working in Japan?
My family is Chinese Singaporean. My younger sis (21F) has been studying at Kyoto IUP for the past 3ish years. She studied Japanese as a third language since 13 and later took it as an A Level subject. She passed her Japanese N1 exam with flying colours and didn't even have to take the language foundation classes lol. So language to her is not a problem. When travelling with her, she will easily strike up conversations with locals, read Japanese books etc.
She is renting a place and passed her driving test in Japan. After graduation she wants to live and work in a smaller prefecture in Japan. But my parents are very opposed. They warn her about long working hours, racism etc. I can see from their perspective as well.
So.. what do you think? Does she have a shot? My mom says at least not to give up her Singaporean citizenship. Any advice??
