I left Osaka 2 years ago to move to Tokyo for work, and wanted to show the place to my family as I used to pass in front quite often.
It was quite a deception to see that now it is an Izakaya.
I played Go to a modest level and played there a few time, getting obliterated by the nicest old men, sharing a can of coffee together.
That place was quite the charm, like of time had stopped, and kept the authenticity of an old Japan.
I will keep a good memory of the place, and will share a picture I took as a tribute.

What a shame it’s gone. Think you hit the saturation filter on that picture about as hard as those guys were hitting their One Cups.
Shinsekai is slowly getting gentrified as the businesses that got hit hard by COVID are swept out one after another. I wonder what’s gonna happen to that other shotengai right next to it full of shuttered businesses.
No way! 4 weeks ago, I passed by this place and saw that the shutters were closed, so I wondered what had happened… thanks for the update … :'(
