Wandering around the local supermarket, having my own internal rant on shrinkflation, and I realised that I haven't heard anything about the environmental impacts on increased waste due to larger ratios of packaging to food item. Given Japan places a fair bit of emphasis on sdg's and environmentally friendly practices, things are pretty quiet on the impact of increased packaging wastes. Seems like an important consideration for environmental business practices.
