I submitted my Lump-Sum Withdrawal Payment application to Japan’s pension office last June 2025. It’s now November, and still haven’t received any update.
From what I’ve read, the process usually takes around 4–6 months, but since it’s already been about 5 months, I’m wondering if should I wait a bit longer or is it okay to call the Japan Pension Service to follow up?
If anyone has gone through this recently, how long did yours take and how did you check your status? Also, is there a specific department or phone number that handles these overseas inquiries?
