42 y/o, 20+ years in Graphic Design, no degree, N5 Japanese. What are my chances?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a realistic assessment of my chances of finding work in Japan and would appreciate your insights.

Experience: 42 years old, 20+ years as a Graphic designer, 15+ as Production Director at a graphic design studio.

Specialty: High-volume packaging design, prepress, food photography, and expert-level retouching.

Key Experience: For over 10 years, managed massive packaging production for one of my country's largest retail chains (thousands of private label SKUs, 10s of millions printed).

Languages: Fluent English, basic N5 Japanese.

Education: No university degree.

My field is very niche, but my experience is deep and technical. What are my realistic job options? Would getting my Japanese to N2 significantly open doors?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
