While I was doing vocab practice, I received this error upon searching for a word.

I tried clearing my cache on chrome. All that got me was one more search before getting the same error. I used both Opera Gx and Microsoft edge. The only browser that worked so far was edge; it allowed me to search 4 terms. I would use it just for the website if I could use my chrome extension yomichan on it to read the words I don’t understand, but I can’t.
I went to the website’s help page and it told me to do the things I’ve already done. The other piece of help it said was security regarding half-width characters. I’ve been using the same Japanese input software called Google Japanese Input before and since I’ve started using Weblio and never had a problem. Is anyone else running into this issue?

first of all, see if that IME allows for full-width characters
Using firefox and microsoft IME it works ok for me right now.
I just tried using the site now and had no issues. Are you sure it wasn’t just a temporary outage? (It’s the middle of the night in Japan now — which is a common time for sites to do server maintenance.)
If the problem persists, maybe take a screenshot of what you’re trying to search for and post it on imgur for us to look at? It’s a bit hard to speculate about the problem without any visual clues as to what the issue might be.
