I know there are a few of these posts around, but nothing that covers steam ovens in particular.
Looking at getting a countertop steam oven (ie Toshiba Dome, Bistro), but they all come with a grounding cord. My kitchen does not have a grounded outlet and the only one in the apartment is in the laundry room.
Steam ovens seem like they would be more prone to danger with their water reservoirs? Not sure if any anecdotal or electrical experience here can help.

Do you have an outlet that has a grounding screw or stud on the bottom of it?
Are you sure if you unscrew the plastic there isn’t a ground in there? It may just be the cover.
Some grounds here also use not a pin but let a small green wire through a hole.
Anyway your kitchen should have one.
You do not have to use the grounding cord for those kind of appliances to function. Tons of Japanese people just wind them up and tape them the back of the appliance, though of course actually using the ground is reccomended for safety. The outlet your fridge uses might have a ground.
You can also ground it to a metal screw/post in the outlet if the face can come off if you want to be sure.
Nothing really needs a ground. Fine if you have it, no problem if not.
