Hi !! <3 F21 and this is my plan on how to move to Japan in about 3 years

First off, thank you for taking the time to read my post.

This has been my dream since I was a child. I actually put it on hold for the last two years while struggling with feeling like I was "behind" everyone else, believing I wasn't a "young prodigy" anymore and that I had nothing special to offer. Honestly, developing this plan has brought me back to myself. My ultimate goal is to live in Japan permanently.

For context:

I'm currently based in Argentina. I have a C1 English level, but my Japanese is currently only at a beginner N5 level. I'm studying Tourism and will have completed my degree by the end of these three years (2026 will be my second year of college, and I've already passed all my first-year subjects).

My Plan is:

  1. After securing my Working Holiday Visa, the main strategy is to quickly find any part-time job upon arrival while simultaneously interviewing for stable positions that qualify for full work visa sponsorship.
  2. In the meantime (while preparing), I'm aiming for at least N3 proficiency and diligently working on my speaking fluency to handle professional interviews.
  3. I've already mapped out every detail of the organization: where I'll be staying (share house), transportation costs, medical insurance, and targeted companies for my CV once I arrive.

My goal is to save around $6,600 USD. This budget is intended to cover the embassy's required proof of funds ($4,000), medical insurance (approx. $600), and a substantial buffer to cover rent and living expenses for the first few months until I find work. I plan to purchase only a one-way ticket to keep my budget flexible.

Does this plan sound too insane to actually work? I genuinely want people to be realistic with me—should I put my feet back on the ground, or is this viable?

I lack "street smarts," so I don't trust my judgment blindly, but all the numbers seem to work out. What are the realistic chances that a company would hire me and sponsor a full work visa?
