Tokyo Train Map – Where to buy ?

Hey everyone, Ive been looking for some time now for a Tokyo Train map, like the one in the picutre, but I would like to find one where the train lines are overlayed over the map of Tokyo. Cant find any map like that oHey everyone! I've been searching for a Tokyo train map that shows all the rail lines overlaid directly on a regular map of the city. Similar to the style in the picture I attached, but with the actual Tokyo geography visible underneath. I haven’t been able to find anything like this online.
Does anyone know if a map like that exists , and where to get one / buy one ?

  1. No idea but you could probably get a HD version printed at Kinko’s to the size you want.

Also interesting to see how it really does only show lines/stops in Tokyo-to, eg the Odakyu Line after Izumi Tamagawa across until it hits Machida.

  2. Are you talking about buying them inside or outside Japan?

Most large bookstores in Japan will have a section where they sell these maps, usually under travel guides and trains. That’s where I got mine.

Contains bilingual map of all train lines in the Greater Tokyo area, one side Japanese, the other side English.

It’s served me well during my time living there, where I pin the map on my room wall, and I usually find myself planning long complicated train journeys using this map, which allows me to see more clearly where I’m going than Google Maps ever could.

  3. I got mine in the merch shop they have in the Omiya station, it is just JR lines, but it’s impressive enough

  4. You can also check out local bookstores like Maruzen or Kinokuniya for train maps. They often have a good selection of transportation resources tailored for residents.
