Say I got accepted to JET and moved back in with my parents across state lines (my lease expires about a month or two before JET would start) so that I can store my car there, does updating/ getting a new state license reset the clock for the 3 month period? If it does will getting the international driving permit allow me to still drive in Japan? I found the guidelines a bit confusing whether moving states before JET prevents you from getting a license regarding question 24 on the application. If I have to answer no because of this 3 month rule (even though I've been driving for 10+ years) how much does it hamper my chances of getting accepted?
