I have a 1 year work visa at the moment, I do intend on renewing at the end of the year but at the moment my visa says it's for a year. Many apartments seem to require 2 years however, any websites where I can find 1-year leases that aren't too expensive? Also, no, I do NOT want to live in a share-house, I did that in another country and had nothing but horrible experiences, I do not want to go back to that.
